Atam textile, founded in 1975 by Mr Lakshmi Chand Jain , has grown from a single sewing machine operation to a large scale manufacturing firm over 5 decades

First Product Cardigan
Beginning of Knitwear Journey
Atam Textiles began its journey with the establishment of its first manufacturing unit near Jalandhar Bypass, Ludhiana. Starting with a dedicated team of 15 employees, the company introduced its first knitted product – Cardigan
1989
Corporate and Trading Office Established
Expanding Market Reach
To strengthen its presence, Atam established its corporate and trading office. Through manufacturing and outsourcing partnerships, the company expanded its product offerings while building a strong network of agents and distributors across key markets
1995
Second Manufacturing Unit Established
Scaling Production Capabilities
Driven by growing demand, Atam reinvested its profits into advanced knitting technology. The second production unit added more than 20 machines and expanded the workforce, enabling greater production capacity and improved operational efficiency.
2005
Third Unit & Lakemount Brand Launch
Diversification and Innovation
The third manufacturing unit was launched, marking the company’s entry into fabric production. During this period, Atam secured a Woolmark license and introduced Lakemount, offering premium T-shirts and sweatshirts for men and women

Basetouch Menswear Expansion
Building Strong Consumer Brands
The launch of Basetouch marked Atam’s expansion into premium menswear sweaters. With additional machinery, an enlarged workforce, and participation in national trade exhibitions, the company strengthened its position in India’s wholesale knitwear market

Atam Exports
Going Global
To serve international markets, Atam established an export division. Expanded production capacity, advanced sewing infrastructure, and the launch of the Infinite Brand by Atam enabled the company to cater to overseas buyers while maintaining international quality standards

Expansion of Summer Unit
Broadening Product Portfolio
Responding to the increasing demand driven by longer summer seasons, Atam established its fourth manufacturing facility dedicated to summer garments. This expansion enhanced the company’s ability to serve men, women, and children’s apparel segments with greater scale
